Rep. Tulsi Gabbard Speaks on Impact of Climate Change in Hawaii
Today, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a member of the Safe Climate Caucus, spoke on the House floor on the impact of climate change in Hawaii. The Safe Climate Caucus members have made a commitment to talk every day on the House Floor about the urgent need to address climate change.
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard spoke out on the frequent and prolonged droughts plaguing Hawaii, noting that earlier this month, the Big Island of Hawaii was declared a natural disaster area due to ongoing drought conditions dating to July 2008.
“We must take action,” said Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. “We cannot afford to ignore this problem that is currently and will continue to wreak havoc across the globe for generations.”
